BASC Amazing Aussie Companion

The purpose of these awards will be to recognize versatility in our Aussies 
and encourage responsible dog ownership.


AAC (Amazing Aussie Companion) award requirements:

1) Submit documentation of 2 activities that the owner was involved in that helped dogs and/or educated the public about responsible dog ownership

2) Submit proof of excellence in the health category and at least two other categora) Health (must include all)

a) Health (must include all)
i) Proof of spay/neuter
ii) Proof of Microchipping/Tattooing or current shots


b) Obedience (needs two of the following)
i) Proof of CGC
ii) Proof of CD or higher obedience degree
iii) Proof of TDI or other therapy dog certification
iv) Proof of graduation from basic obedience class


c) Tracking
i) A tracking certificate from a licensed tracking judge


d) Herding (needs two of the following)
i) An HT or HCT
ii) A Started title on any type of stock
iii) A letter from a herding instructor that your dog has beginning herding skills


e) Soundness (needs two of the following)
i) Proof of basic water-dog skills
ii) Proof of basic drafting skills iii) Proof of basic back-packing skills


f) Other (needs two of the following)
i) Receipt of a Hero Dog Award
ii) Work as a therapy dog
iii) Work in Television
iv) Other-as submitted by owner


g) Agility (needs two of the following)
i) Proof of completion of a basic agility class
ii) A Beginning level agility title from any organization
iii) Proof the dog can do all novice level AKC agility obstacles

Examples of activities:
Helping with rescue
Talking to school groups about dog safety
Donating time to a humane society
I'm sure you can come up with many more than these: I'll add to the list as you send them in


AACX (Amazing Aussie Companion Excellent) award requirements:

3) Submit documentation of 5 activities that the owner was involved in that helped dogs and/or educated the public about responsible dog ownership

4) Submit proof of excellence in the health category and at least two other categories


a) Health (must include all)
i) Proof of spay/neuter
ii) Proof of Microchipping/Tattooing or current shots
iii) Proof of eye clearance


b) Obedience
i) Proof of CDX


c) Tracking
i) A TD


d) Herding (needs one of the following)
i) An HS
ii) A Started title on any two types of stock
iii) A competitive started herding title from other herding organization e) Soundness (needs two of the following)
i) Proof of intermediate water-dog skills
ii) Proof of intermediate drafting skills
iii) Proof of intermediate back-packing skills


f) Other (needs two of the following)
i) Receipt of a Hero Dog Award
ii) Work as a therapy dog
iii) Work in Television
iv) Other-as submitted by owner


g) Agility (needs two of the following)
i) An intermediate agility title
ii) An agility title in one of the games classes
iii) A jumper/weaves title
